This is at no cost to our clients.
If you feel as though you are in need of some help and dont know where to turn please stop by and we will set you up with Brianna to get you some help. If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to call us at 207-817-6025.
Crossroads spearheads a new project:
"Farmer's Against Hunger"

Plant a Row for Hunger
In keeping with it's goal of increasing by 25% the amount of fresh produce that is made available to our clients, Crossroads is putting forth the call to all local residents, those whom farm for a living and those who just have a few rows planted in their backyards. We are calling this new project "Farmers against Hunger" and our goal is to get individuals who in the past have always been so great at answering the call to the needs of their neighbors, so this year, plant and extra row for hunger. If we were able to get just 100 rows out there planted and harvested it would be an enormous benefit to the thousands we serve each and every month.
The importance of "Farmers Against Hunger" cannot be overstated. All to often fresh produce is missing from the diets of those whom are food insecure. Hard as pantries might try to ensure these commodities are made available to our clients, a shortfall still exists. So this is why it is important for our neighbor's to come together and help us in ensuring that everyone has a chance to eat a healthy diet.
In addition to delivering fruits and produce to those in need "Farmer's Against Hunger" is also developing a nutrion information program to help teach recipiants the value of including these products in to their daily diets and the benefits to their families. Crossroads Resource Center is a 501(3) non-profit organization that is supported in large by grant funding however we are always welcoming of the donations from the private sector. So for anyone whom wishes to contact us for this or any other information please feel free to contact either Pastor Keith Whitmore(Director)@478-5511 or Brenda Davis (Founder/Project cordinator)@ 659-2172.
Crossroads seeks Donations for a new cooler.
7 years ago Crossroads Resource Center set up shop at it's current location and at this time it acquired a "new" second hand cooler that up until just recently had been getting the job done, however it has become clear as of lately that a newer, larger cooler is in Crossroads future.
We are looking for donations to help purchase a new one, and Pastor Keith has located one for $4500.00. With that being our goal we are hoping to have the new cooler in place before the influx of extra fresh produce comes from our "Farmer's for Hunger" project.
Any and all donations will be gladly excepted by mail at P.O. BOx 408 Old Town, Maine 04468, or by walk in Monday thru Friday 10:30 am until 3:00 pm.
Psalms 69:32-33
February 11th Q106.5 hosted a pasta drive for Crossroads.........
It may have been one of the coldest Saturdays we have had but the people didn't let us down, in fact, they came out in force and by the end of the day we had collected a whopping 2500lbs of pasta!!!!!!
Pastor Keith, Crossroads new director, Ronnie Murphy who is a current board member and volunteer Jared Healey sat up outside of the local Old Town Hannaford's along with Q106.5 and despite the cold temperatures the friends and supporters of Crossroads came through and we were blessed once again. Everyone here at Crossroads would like to take this time to thank you for all you do in the way of support at this time and through out the year.
